Officer (M&E Technician) – Data Center

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure that data center operations work efficiently and avoid downtime
• Regular maintenance of critical facility systems such as Generators, Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) etc to prevent data center downtime
• Requesting to ensure that the diesel fuel needed for the generators, which is important for the proper operation of the data center, is received on time.
• Manage and service large scale data center infrastructure and facilities to ensure 24×7 operations in rotating shifts.

Detail Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate Data Center critical Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems to ensure 100% uptime and meet operational performance expectations.
• Perform technical maintenance and troubleshooting activities associated with electrical/mechanical/ACMV/fire and generators.
• Respond to Mechanical and Electrical alarms/faults, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct the required daily maintenance and operations of the data center facilities to ensure serviceability of all active and redundancy equipment. This includes performing routine facilities activities such as critical system checks and functional testing.
• Monitor data center monitoring systems for alerts, alarms, and abnormal conditions.
• Monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure, including power distribution systems (UPS, generators), HVAC systems, fire suppression systems.
• Report every issue and error to Senior technician in case of emergency.
• Do Checklist of Generators, UPS, CRAC and MDB panel on daily.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in the Data Center operations space.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire suppression systems in data center.
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of Electrical & Electronic Devices and Office Machines and be able to work with them effectively.
• Must possess a positive attitude toward work responsibilities and be able to work responsibly as part of a team.
• Must be able to complete assigned duties efficiently and on time.
• knowledge in DC facilities related systems such as PDUs, UPS, ATS, CRACs, DX cooling and Fire protections.
