Assistant Vice President (Forex) - Treasury & Markets Department

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or a related field. (Master degree plus if available).
Proven 5~7 years working experience in FX trading, financial markets or dealing with diverse clients within banking industry.
Familiarity with FX services, including spot, forward, and option contracts etc. or holding a relevant certification would be a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, excellent communication skills and strong leadership & team management skills.
Solid understanding of FX trading platforms, settlement processes and High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Good knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly CBM guidelines.
Proficiency in MS Office, written and spoken English & Myanmar Language.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers.
Be the main contact for difficult or urgent FX questions from customers. Make sure all responses are clear, correct, and on time.
Manage the daily work of the Commercial FX desk.
Check and collect all documents from import customers to meet Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) rules.
Make sure FX settlement tasks are completed properly.
Work closely with other departments such as Financial Institutions (FI), Global Transaction Banking (GTB), and Corporate Banking to complete FX transactions and reach shared goals.
Check and approve reports on FX trading.
Make sure all FX transactions follow CBM rules and the bank’s own policies and procedures.
Keep an eye on market changes, currency movements, and world events to find risks and opportunities in FX.
Create a strong and positive team culture. Support teamwork, learning, new ideas, and better ways of working in the FX Desk.
