“MAB Color Run” festival where the runners are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder was held in Mandalay Region on 16th of February, 2020. Over 5000 runners participated in this blissful celebration.

U Zar Ni Aung, the acting prime minister of Mandalay region, the cabinet members of Mandalay region, U Chit Khine, the Chairman of MAB Bank, the executive members of MAB and the staffs attended the opening ceremony of the “MAB color run” and celebrated throughout the whole festival alongside with the participants.

The idea of this festival which was organized in cooperation with the Mandalay Regional cabinet is to bring recreation and entertainment to the general public. All the participants were awarded with Finisher Medals. The running track is 5 kilometer long along the Mandalay Kyone (the Wall), from Hilton Hotel Mandalay to Shwe Mann Taung Golf Club.

The color powders used during the festival are globally certified powder that are used in food industries and in was suggested beforehand that the people who are allergic or sensitive to the powder should consider taking part in the celebration.

MAB made 32.5 Million kyats from selling the Color Run event tickets and donated the entire ticket sales to the Myanmar Education segment in commemoration of the bank’s 10 years anniversary.

The local music stars: Aung Htet, Phyo Pyae Sone, J-Fire, Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein and Kay Kay Moe performed with their famous songs during the festival. Moreover, the artists: Kaung Myat San, Kyaw Htet Zaw, Dee (The Model Academy) and the well-known Social Influencers: Si thu Tun (Siraveller), Yin Yin Hnaung (Mandalarian) participated in this delightful celebration.

The Sponsors that supported the festival had their small booths at the festival and MAB served refreshments to all the runners at the finish line.
