Maintain and strengthen correspondent banking relationships with both
local and international banks.
Establish, manage, and deepen relationships with bank and non-bank
financial institutions across the region to generate FI-related business
opportunities.
Identify and prioritize key banking partners by region and country to
expand and strengthen the Bank’s correspondent banking network.
Manage and maintain the Bank’s correspondent banking and Nostro account
network, including the opening and maintenance of accounts in major
currencies such as USD, EUR, SGD, CNY, THB and others.
Perform KYC reviews, due diligence, and periodic assessments for all
financial institution counterparties in accordance with regulatory and
internal requirements.
Develop and execute a calling program for foreign bank branches and
representative offices in Myanmar to identify and pursue new business
opportunities.
Secure credit facilities and limits for trade finance, treasury products, and
medium-term funding from correspondent banks, development finance
institutions, and multilateral agencies.
Identify and pursue trade finance, payment, and treasury business
opportunities with regional, APEC, and global banking partners.
Lead and oversee the Financial Institutions team, ensuring effective
communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain strong working relationships with Credit, Legal, Compliance,
Operations, Treasury, and other relevant departments to facilitate business
growth and risk management.
Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, all applicable regulatory
requirements, industry standards, and internal policies relevant to the
Financial Institutions function.
Monitor developments in the banking industry and correspondent banking
landscape to identify strategic opportunities and potential risks.
Manage and regularly review the Bank’s correspondent bank list and
relationship portfolio to ensure alignment with the Bank’s strategic
objectives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking sector.
Strong knowledge of Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) laws and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant banking
software.
