Saving accounts are opened to encourage the people to save money and collect their savings. It enables the depositor to earn income by way of saving bank interest. Most businessmen use saving accounts by linking with Current Account.

• The interest rate – 6.0% p.a.
• Interest will be calculated for each calendar month on the lowest balance between the close of the fifth day and end of the month.
• Interest will be deposited monthly.
• Minimum initial deposit – 10,000 kyats
• The minimum balance is 1,000 kyats (the interest is calculated over 10,000 kyats)
• Able to link with current account, MPU card, mobile banking and iBanking
