What is MAB Cash Rebate?

Cash rebate is a MAB credit card rewards program where you can redeem minimum of 4,000 points at 3,000 Kyats Cash Rebate to your credit card account by spending at least 500 Kyats per transaction to get 1 MAB point.

There is no maximum cap on redemption of points for Cash Rebate and credit cardholders can make redemption online via MAB rewards member portal at https://rewards.mabbank.com.

What is MAB e-voucher?

MAB e-voucher is an electronic voucher system which enables MAB credit cardholders to redeem at MAB partner merchants by presenting e-voucher code which has been sent to the credit cardholder’s mobile and email as soon as they make the redemption online via MAB rewards member portal at https://rewards.mabbank.com.

You will need a minimum of 4,000 reward points to redeem MAB e-voucher rewards worth 5,000 Kyats. There is no maximum cap on redemption of MAB points for e-voucher.

Benefits:

• Earn 1 MAB point for every 500 Kyats spend with your credit card.
• Redemption starts at 4,000 points for 3,000 Kyats Cash Rebate or 5,000 Kyats E-Voucher. And also 8,000 points for 6,000 Kyats Cash Rebate or 10,000 Kyats E-Voucher.
• There are no caps or limits on the points credit cardholders can earn.

ISSUANCE OF REWARDS:

Eligible credit cardholders of MAB will earn MAB points as given below:

• MAB credit cardholders will earn 1 MAB point for every 500 Kyats charged to their credit card account for card transactions effected using the MAB Credit Card. MAB has the right to change the rewards criteria without prior notice to the credit cardholders.
• MAB reserves the right to revoke and/or deduct and/or recomputed any MAB points earned to the credit card account in its sole discretion in the event that credit cardholders fail to effect due payment for the card transactions.
• MAB is entitled, for any reason, and at any time without liability or prior notice, to suspend the calculation and accrual of MAB points, to rectify any errors in the calculation or otherwise adjust such calculation. In the event the MAB points awarded is in decimal points, the final MAB points awarded for each transaction will be rounded down to the nearest whole figure.
• MAB points earned are nontransferable to any other account of the eligible persons and MAB points which have been successfully redeemed cannot be refunded or transferred back to any account of the eligible persons.
• Reward point expiry will follow a 5 years points expiry in quarterly bucket system with a reward point validity period of 5 years for credit cards but will expire on quarterly buckets; all points in 1^st quarter bucket will expire at end of 7^th quarter bucket: 21^st For example, if your transaction date is January 1, 2019, the credit cardholders earn reward points at transaction date January 1, 2019. Earned reward points will be part of the rewards quarter bucket 1 and earned reward points will have 5 years validity, and will expire by quarter bucket 8. Expired points will be burned at start of 62^nd month, or by the start of quarter bucket 8.
• Eligible persons may, subject to the terms and conditions herein and the respective qualifying MAB points amounts, select and redeem any one or more of the rewards which may from time to time be featured on MAB’s website or in any other of MAB’s publications in whatsoever medium, via such redemption channel as MAB may from time to time inform the eligible persons. The eligible persons agree that the use of any particular channel shall be governed by its terms and conditions then in force.

CRITERIA FOR REDEMPTION OF REWARDS:

• The credit card must be valid, active, and current at the time of redemption.
• Reward points can be redeemed against Cash Rebate to your credit card account, E-Vouchers and Instant Redemptions at relevant participating merchants.
• All requests shall be processed on a first come, first served basis, and are subject to sufficient accumulated MAB points and availability of rewards at the time of redemption.
• Rewards e-vouchers for successful request will be emailed and sent by sms to the eligible person.
• Rewards e-vouchers shall not be used to purchase any item on special offer, sale or discount; nor used in conjunction with any discount/membership card, offer voucher or similar scheme unless the credit cardholder is informed otherwise by the relevant participating merchant.
• In the redemption of any Reward, more than 1 reward e-voucher per visit may be used, unless otherwise stated, in which case; any conditions stipulated by the participating merchant must be complied with.
• A reward which has been redeemed cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, MAB points or for another reward or for any other merchandise.
• Adjustments will be made to the MAB points if there are any credits posted to an account including those arising from returned goods or services, or whatsoever reasons and it is subject to MAB’s approval and MAB’s decision is final.

Cash Rebate Redemption Process:

• Credit cardholders have the option of redeeming their rewards points against Cash Rebate.
• To enjoy Cash Rebate, credit cardholder is required to redeem the Cash Rebate with reward points at MAB credit card rewards member portal. Eligible persons can redeem a minimum of 3,000 Kyats for 4,000 MAB points and also can redeem the 6,000 Kyats for 8,000 MAB points.
• Cash Rebate will be credited to credit cardholder’s account within 3 working days after receiving a cash rebate redemption request via MAB credit card rewards member portal.
• Cash Rebates may not be cancelled, amended or returned.
• MAB reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice. All matters and disputes are subject to the final decision of MAB.

E-Voucher Redemption Process:

• Credit cardholder can make redemption request for e-voucher via MAB credit card rewards member portal and e-voucher code will be emailed and sent by sms to credit cardholder. Eligible persons can redeem a minimum of 5,000 Kyats for 4,000 MAB points and also can redeem of E-Voucher 10,000 Kyats for 8,000 MAB points.
• Credit cardholder can go to MAB partner merchants to claim with e-voucher code and rewards points will be deducted from credit cardholder after fulfilling the redemption.
• To redeem a reward, the eligible person, or his/her proxy, must present the relevant original rewards e-voucher code as proof of eligibility at the relevant participating merchants. The eligible person or his/her proxy must also bring along his/her NRC/passport together with the original rewards e-voucher. For purchases exceeding the e-voucher value, credit cardholder, or his/her proxy, must charge the difference to his/her MAB credit card. There shall be no refund, in any form whatsoever, if the value of the goods and/or services requested is below that of the rewards e-voucher. The redemption of the e-voucher by the credit cardholder’s proxy is deemed to be authorized by him/her and MAB shall not bear responsibility to the credit cardholder in the redemption of the e-voucher by the credit cardholder’s proxy.
• Redemption and use of a reward is subject to availability and to such other conditions as may be specified by the respective participating merchants. MAB may also in its absolute discretion, at any time and from time to time without prior notice, vary the rewards featured or substitute any reward with another of a similar value or vary the MAB points required for redemption of any reward.
• Issuance of a reward e-voucher does not constitute redemption. The eligible person is responsible for making all redemptions and notifying the participating merchant of the rewards they are going to redeem.
• MAB cannot be in any way responsible for any aspect of the products or services provided under the Rewards Program by any participating merchants or third party operators, service providers or suppliers engaged by MAB to provide such rewards.
• Unless otherwise stated, all rewards e-vouchers must be utilized within the validity period stated therein. No extensions, refunds, payments, replacements or exchanges shall be permitted or entertained.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

• All MAB credit cardholders eligible for MAB rewards are automatically bound by MAB Credit Card Rewards Terms and Conditions.
• The eligible person’s participation in the Program, including without limitation, the issuance and redemption of MAB points and the use of rewards, shall be governed by: a) the terms and conditions herein; and b) any other terms and conditions as may be stipulated by the respective participating merchant outlets or third party operators, service providers or suppliers engaged by MAB to provide rewards featured under the Program.
• MAB and/or the participating merchant outlet or third party operator, service provider or supplier, as the case may be, may at any time vary, modify or amend any of the aforesaid said terms and conditions, in their absolute discretion, and the eligible person shall be bound by such variations and amendments.
• In these terms and conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:
  “Account” means any account maintained by an eligible person in MAB under which MAB points may be earned.
  “Credit Card” means a MAB credit card (including Visa classic credit card and Visa platinum credit card and MAB gold credit card) issued by MAB card centre.
  “Rewards” mean any goods, services, benefits or other privileges as MAB may from time to time in its absolute discretion determine, which may be redeemed or obtained by the use of MAB points under the Program.
• MAB reserves the right to wholly or partly modify the Rewards Program. MAB also reserves the right to change the reward points conversion rate, withdraw, cancel or invalidate reward points awarded in its absolute discretion and without prior notice to credit cardholders and the eligible person shall be bound by such variations and amendments.
• In case this Rewards Program comes in conflict with any rule, regulation or order of any statutory authority, then MAB has absolute authority and right to modify or cancel this Program to give effect to the said requirements.
• In the event of any abuse or fraud in respect of the issuance of MAB points or redemption of rewards, MAB may, in MAB’s absolute discretion, cancel accrued MAB points and any rewards E-Voucher, Cash Rebate, and others rewards already issued.
• Without prejudice to any of MAB’s rights and remedies, MAB may, at any time, in its absolute discretion and without giving any reason or notice, terminate the Rewards Program without liability to any MAB credit cardholders.
• The eligible person hereby authorizes MAB to disclose information regarding the eligible person and the eligible person’s relevant account to third parties for the purposes of this Rewards Program.
• MAB shall not be liable if it is unable to perform its obligations under these terms and conditions, due directly or indirectly to the failure of any machine or communication system, industrial dispute, war, or anything outside the control of MAB or its servants or agents. MAB shall not be responsible for delay in the transmission of sales transaction by Card Acquiring Members of Visa, MasterCard, MPU, Union Pay and JCB; merchant establishments; Visa International; JCB International; Union Pay International; and postal and telecommunications authorities.
• MAB’s records of all matters relating to this Program shall be conclusive and binding on the eligible person.
• MAB’s decision on all matters relating to this Program shall be final and binding on the eligible person and no correspondence will be entertained.
• The terms and conditions herein shall be governed by the laws of Myanmar and all MAB credit cardholders who participate in the Program shall be deemed to have inexorably agreed to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Myanmar.
